Updated My Blog to Act Like a Feed
It’s been many months since I took myself off from Facebook and Instagram. My mental health and professional life is a lot better since then.
However, I miss posting updates on social media. Especially pics of the food I cook & eat, my cat Squanchy, beautiful Oaxaca, and some personal stuff. And of course, my political and geeky rants.

Annihilation of Caste by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: An Intro to India’s Biggest Bigotry
If you don’t understand caste, you don’t understand India.
It took me a long time to read this book, which is actually an undelivered speech (more on that later). It took me even longer to write this review. Frankly, I didn’t think it would be this long. I started typing it in the Goodreads app, and then it became so long that I had to move it to my laptop. And here we are!

I’m Off Facebook & Instagram – 1+ Month Now
I’d been struggling with reducing Facebook and Instagram usage for over a year. I tried eliminating just the major distraction, the Facebook Timeline, on my desktop, but it wasn’t enough.
Turns out, when I eliminated Timeline from my desktop, I found myself using Facebook Groups more and more. Some of them are highly engaging (and super specific too), probably the only good thing left on fb, but their distraction potential is the same.
